We are very excited about reopening the shop after what seems like a very long time away. During the lockdown we have been working on how best to offer existing services whilst ensuring our staff and customers are safe in our store. This blog post outlines the procedures we are introducing and the changes we have made in store to ensure that this is the case.
Due to the nature of our trade and the size of our shop we have decided to introduce barriers in three specific points across the shop. This enables us to offer a jewellery serving point, a repair drop off and collection point which will also be set up for call / click and collect customers and a Pandora specific serving point. Each of these will have their own barriers so we can better communicate with our clients and they will have their own individual sterilisation stations.
When we first reopen, we will be introducing an appointment booking system. You will be able to use WhatsApp on our website, email, Facebook and of course the telephone. It is our aim to negate the need to queue outside our shop at all during the ongoing crisis. In the event that clients haven’t pre-booked we are setting up a system whereby we will take a client’s number and call them when there is availability requesting that they return within a 5 minute window.
We have invested in a wide range of products aimed at keeping both us safe and our clients jewellery virus free. When we take any jewellery in for repairs or any form of servicing we will sterilize it in a UV box. We will then sterilize it once more before returning it to customers.
Where possible we will need to minimize the handling of stock item though if they have been touched, they will also be sterilized prior to being returned to display.
We will kindly request that all clients visit our sterilization station upon entering and exiting the shop and take a moment to use our hand gels.
Alongside a comprehensive cleaning schedule our team members will be wearing gloves and sterilizing both them and all equipment between serving clients.
We are, of course more than happy to help our clients by showing them a range of jewellery on offer when they visit the store, but we are also aware that many clients know what they want before visiting us.
This is why we have set up a call or click and collect service where we encourage clients to contact us and let us know what it is that they want and arrange a collection time to create a smooth efficient service.
When we first reopen there may well be a few teething issues, obviously we will strive to ensure that these are kept to a minimum and will not affect you or your experience in store. We would also ask that you are patient with our team and understand the difficult circumstances that we have all been subject to.
We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that where possible as much of our ongoing bespoke and repair work has continued. Unfortunately, this hasn’t always been possible due to social distancing requirements and illness. Whilst we are reopening, it is still necessary to maintain social distancing guidelines across our workshops and service providers so things may take a little while to get back to normal.
We can’t wait to be able to welcome you back into the shop and look forward to seeing you soon.
